Notes... 02.18.10
Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 9:32AM - The Crime in Miami exhibit opens at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida tomorrow. We donated photos and artifacts from our archive and Robert Platshorn, the Black Tuna himself (soon to be featured in our new documentary Square Grouper), is also helping out. The Miami Herald reports that Crime in Miami will span from Prohibition-era rum-runners and infamous gangsters, to infamous murder cases and the drug wars of the 1980s. Bring the kids!
- NBC Miami reports that the lowlifes at Tremont Towing in Miami Beach were caught on tape rifling through cars and stealing personal belongings. Complaints have been lodged against the Tremont and Beach Towing duoopoly for over a decade. What will the City of Miami Beach do now?
