DAWG FIGHTer shot in Perrine tonight
Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 6:51PM
UPDATE 5/5/2009:
We got word that Chaunce is alive but on life support. The only good news is that a suspect in the shooting is apparently in custody.
DADA 5000's mom told us that in Perrine, "you can come outside and bullets be flying all over your head... I can't tell you how many peoples has lost their lives."
It might have happened again tonight very close to home:
We just received word from DADA that Chauncey (real name: Chanza Adside), a featured fighter in our new doc-in-progress DAWG FIGHT was shot tonight. The news we have right now is that it's very serious and we're trying to get more details. Word on the street is, he had words with some guys in Perrine and got shot in the head.

Chaunce is the guy 33 seconds into the trailer who says, "I came out fighting since a shorty, I been fighting all my life, all I know is to fight." And from 4:57 to the end, you see Chaunce giving poor Moe a serious beating.
The news is not promising, but we hope he's okay.

Chanza is my cousin. There's been no change since he's been in the hospital. We can only hope for the best, but it looks bad.
