I don't know John Fink, but he's a fan and he's got a good take on the release of Cocaine Cowboys:

A full theatrical release in art houses will most likely be likely: its where the core audience, hipsters and the like will see it but Magnolia shouldn’t be afraid to embrace an urban market. If properly pitched the crowd that went to see Waist Deep would be interested in this movie I think: it’s the real story behind Scarface, a movie that is huge in hip hop culture as the culture embraces the same values as DePalma’s main character: living large.
